Well, life is just as busy as ever. We seem to do be doing something at all hours of the day and night lately. No time to breathe - ahhh! I think it'll be like this over the next few weeks. I'm so ready to have this recital behind me. It's gonna be here super fast - makes my hands and feet sweat just thinking about it!
Dayton has been a real trooper lately -he just gets drug around everywhere w/ Mommy, but he always makes the most of it. Dayton has been a happy-go-lucky kid since he was born, and so far, things haven't changed much. He's so chill and easy going (must get that from his dad, not his uptight mommy!) His newest thing is trying to talk. He will go on and on w/ this blabbing business like he really has something to say. He'll even start nodding his head as if to say, "Yes, I do believe it's true." It's so funny. I just bust out laughing when we're home by ourselves and he starts one of his tangents. We bought him a Longhorn Baby dvd over the weekend (yes, brainwashing already) and he's learned to say "Bevo"! hahaha! We love it! So, it's been Dada, Mama, Baba, Bye-bye, and now bevo :)
On Saturday, we started to notice small bumps showing up on his legs. I thought it was either an allergic reaction or some chigger bites, but it began to spread. By Saturday night he had them all on his legs and arms. By Sunday night, they were on his limbs and had spread to the front of his tummy. I was freaking out - Brandon nor my dad has ever had chicken pox, and I know it's dangerous to get them at an older age, so I didn't want Date to spread anything to them. I took him to see Dr. Brian on Monday morning and come to find out, it was just a little exczema (sp?). I was called anular (circular) exczema so it was definite circles all over. We put some cream on him two times on Monday and by Monday night it was gone - yeah! I was scared it was something more serious! Now we'll know...
Well, nothing else to report for now. On Saturday, we're taking Dayton back to Studio Ainsley in Sugar Land for his 1 year pics. We'll see how that goes - slim chance he'll actually sit still long enough to get some good shots, but it's worth a try. No other real plans. We've got to run into Babies r Us because we've gotta stock up on "baby-proofing" items. I never knew this before I had a kid, but they even make safety latches for toilets. We, unfortunetly, need these very badly. Dayton loves sticking his hand, golf club, and other random items into the toilet - the kid just loves playin w/ water - even if it's in a large ceramic bowl. He's also into all of the kitchen drawers and cabinets, and he can reach the back door and knows how to pull the lever down to open it - bad news, I tell you - this kid is out of control. So, we're on a mission to baby proof everything.
I'll write again soon...JZ
