A Week in the Life of Dayton...

Sorry it's been a while since I've had a good post. Here is a recap of our last week...

Don't ask me? I'm not sure what he's doing in this one... Looks like he's giving a speech or he just came up w/ a not-so-bright idea!

Here's a picture of how our collage turned out for DeDe's bayhouse...

Cute little monkey when we got home from Splashway last Sunday. He loved it - such a good little waterbaby!!!

Dayton's first shot at licking the spoon after Mommy made a yummy pineapple upside down cake...

Here is his mullet at it's best - isn't this horrible hair???

Do you love our little Lacoste model? Here he is showing off his new shirt - popped collar and all!

More new clothes - MeMe bought him this new Thomas the Train shirt and he absolutely loves it! He is very into Thomas these days. Every time he sees anything w/ Thomas the Train he says, "Choo!Choo!"

I think he looks sooo old in this picture - he's growing up way too fast!

I was working on something in the kitchen and turned around to come back in the living room and this is what I found. Apparently the coffee table makes a great seat...

Busted - but not too concerned!

Here he is showing off Daddy's new golf cart. Saw this cart on the side of the road in Garwood on our way to San Antonio for July 4th weekend. Ended up buying it, and Brandon, being Brandon, had to have new wheels, tires, batteries and of course a new Longhorn paint job - Dayton loves this thing. I think he thinks it's his new toy...

He checked the cart out from all angles...

Date looking old again - sniffle, sniffle... He's just not a baby anymore - so independent...

Our little Longhorn swimmer - I gave these swimshorts to Brock when he was Dayton's age so I took 'em back the other day when we were at their house. They're a little long, but cute none-the-less...

Checking out the waterfall. He's not scared of it at all - he is scared of floaties, however. Hates to have them on - hopefully this changes before next summer when he'll actually need them. We just carry him around in the water where ever he wants to go.

Everything is going well, just staying busy. Registration is behind me and the summer will soon be over so we're just trying to enjoy what's left of it.

Take care, JZ

New Pics Coming Soon!!!

Sorry guys - I am slacking big time this week. I've been running crazy trying to prepare for registration tomorrow morning. When I have that behind me, I will try to get some pics uploaded.

We had a HUGE milestone last night - Dayton slept in his toddler bed ALL night for the first time since we've had it - yeah!!! It was great. I won't be expecting the same tonight, but I could definently get used to not getting kicked and slapped on for half of the night every night :) I forgot what a good night's rest was like! Please keep your fingers crossed that this continues. He is down for a nap right now (2:45 p.m.) for the first time today - this kid, I swear. He's 90 mph 24/7! I don't mind the lack of sleep during the day if he sleeps all night :)

Hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend ;) Pray for me that registration goes well. I've had two migraines this week stressing out over it. I do have about 50 registered so far so I am very pleased w/ that. It's just so hard when my income depends on a bunch of 3 - 10 year olds - so stressful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check this out...

I know you've already seen the majority of these pics, but had to try this website out. Me, being the avid blogstalker that I am, found this site on another blog and thought it might be cool to try!

Fun Pics...

Okay, so I kind of have a love/hate relationship w/ my new camera. I'm still trying to get good at using it and sometimes I just put it down for a few days at a time because I get so frustrated w/ it, but I am in love w/ it now!!! These are some of the best shots I've got yet. I took Dayton to Evans Park the other day to try to get some good "pretend" fishing shots. We made a collage of 8 X 10's and 5 X 7's for the Zabodyn's new bayhouse. Check these out...

San Antonio / Playing in the Rain

Okay, it's been a crazy week so sorry I haven't posted. I know y'all are probably thinking, "How does she not have time to keep up w/ this? She's home all day." While that is true, it's not that I don't have a few minutes to myself every now and then, it's just hard to find enough consecutive minutes to actually get anything done. Like right now, I should be washing clothes and working on Dance Pizzazz registration stuff, but it shall wait! :)

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio over the weekend. Minus the rain on Friday, it was great. Here some pics!

Dayton was very excited about his first trip to Hard Rock Cafe. He was jammin' to the music!

Dayton throws a penny into a wishing fountain. He wished for no rain on Saturday at Sea World - it worked!!!

We let him try out the headphones in the car for the first time. He liked them, but wasn't too keen on leaving them on for long amounts of time...

Here are some ducks that were on the riverwalk. Me trying to be a photographer...

Here is Dayton looking off our balcony. We had the greatest room ever. We were on the first floor so just a little higher than the riverwalk. We could see everything. Dayton loved watching the riverboats go by. We shared a balcony w/ the Zabodyns so it was a really cool setup.

Here's a good one of Samantha and Brandon...

Date and BZ:

A family pic -

Dayton loved putting his face on the dirty glass of our balcony door. It was pretty entertaining...

Arriving at Sea World. Dayton kept this hat and his sunglasses on for about 5 seconds. We didn't even make it in the gate. Glad we atleast got one pic.

Here's our cutie!!!

Shamu at his finest:

Dayton was really into the show. We had a bright idea to sit on the second row of the place - splash zone city. We realized it was gonna be bad about 3 seconds before the splashing began. I had to hide my camera and hide Dayton as best we could. Dayton started screaming after the first tidal wave. He wasn't too fond of the cold, salty water. I spent the rest of the splash portion of the show standing in front of Brandon and Dayton with my arms out trying to shield them from the water - I'm sure I looked like quite an idiot. I spent the rest of the day walking around w/ sticky, salty, wet shorts. It was as disgusting as it sounds. No more splash zone for us!

More Shamu...

This is how close we were - pretty cool minus the splashing!

After the show - doesn't Dayton looked thrilled???

In the penguin habitat.

Dayton really liked the sea lion show - he was jumping and screaming!

Family Pictures...

Here's Dayton showing off the Clydesdale Horse.

It rained yesterday afternoon so I took it as the perfect time to try out Dayton's new giraffe rain coat and boots - he hated both of them!!! I think he felt a little restricted. I couldn't even get a pic of him in the boots. Atleast I got them half off at Target. They were too cute to pass up. Maybe one day he'll come around!

Here's the pic of him in his jacket:

Here are his adorable boots. Cool pic, I think!

So happy to be in the rain - so why didn't he like being splashed by Shamu???

I love this one:

My happy boy:

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week. We have no big plans for the weekend. We'll be helping Scott and Amy move. Wayne and Diane have a contract in on a bay house so we are super excited about that. Hopefully it'll only be a couple of weeks and we'll be able to start enjoying our weekends down there. You are all invited down when you're around. I had a horrible migraine last night so that has set me back this morning. I'm getting a little stressed over Dance Pizzazz registration. I have a lot of paperwork to get done over the next few days and it's almost impossible with a 16 month old running around tearing up papers and mashing keys on my keyboard. It'll get done one day! Take care - jz
