Well, it’s SO hard to believe that in two short days, Mallory will already be 22 months – only 2 months shy of turning TWO –Wow! I know I’m a little early, but I haven’t done any monthly updates for the poor child in forever, so I figured I’d do a little one for her now before I forget. It’s so hard to say everything this child is doing and saying right now, but I’ll try to give you a small insight into the life of Mallory – she never seizes to amaze me!
-Stats? I have no idea – I couldn’t even guess how much she weighs – we’ll have to save this for our two year check up. All I do know is this girl is TALL!
-Wears size 2T clothes and is moving into size 8 shoes – I think that’s a pretty big foot!
-Has the craziest hair ever but we love it and we embrace it. Favorite ‘do would have to be piggies but we are fixing to undergo some serious trimming which involves waiting to cut her hair by the light of the moon? I’ll let you know how this goes – when you’re desperate, you’re desperate and we’re gonna get this little chic’s hair to grow out :)
-LOVES Dora and loves anything having to do with Dora – we have Dora clothes, Dora pjs, Dora socks, Dora panties, Dora bows, Dora books, Dora dvds, Dora dolls, Dora puzzles, Dora coloring books, Dora plates, Dora cups, Dora toothbrush – okay, I think you get the picture!
-Loves to color with Dayton – this is their favorite thing to do together.
-Favorite food: Mac ‘n Cheese and Spaghetti O’s – also likes fruit and fruit snacks. Has taken a new liking to apple sauce.
-Favorite drinks: Chocolate milk (shame on Mommy but a little sugar free syrup never hurt no one) and Apple juice
-Sleeps in her toddler bed all night and for naps
-Talks like crazy – the things that come out of her mouth make me crack up on a daily basis. I can’t even list all of her vocabulary – she’ll basically copy anything you say. Her favorite new saying is when someone does something or says something she says “Oh no! What Happened?” So funny!
-Loves to sing – especially her ABC’s and has started to really like Itsy Bitsy Spider
-Loves football – I quote her Daddy when I say “She loves football as much as her Mommy!” Proud Daddy and Mommy :) We gotta love our boys of Fall!
-Isn’t a good shopping buddy because she doesn’t want to sit in a stroller and wants to grab everything and buy it!
-Is starting to get picky when it comes to getting dressed which Mommy is having a hard time coping with! She changed four times one morning last week because she didn’t like anything I put on her. Then, on Tuesday morning, she told me “I no like this ou-fit!” when I got her dressed – oh boy!
-Likes to play with her baby dolls and build with any kind of blocks
-I’m gonna go out on a limb and say she’s not going to be a fan of Halloween because of the costumes and Santa Claus at Christmas. Loves pep rallies but is deathly afraid of Ricky – literally shakes when she sees him. Anytime we look at Halloween displays at the stores, she points and then crosses her arms over her chest appearing to “shiver” and says “Oooohhhh Sca-ry!” Where does she come up with this stuff???
-Is a girl through and through complete with whining, being overly dramatic, temper tantrums, cutting eyes, etc. Girls and boys are COMPLETELY different species – it’s true. And it starts from birth – crazy!
I’m sure there is so much more I could share but it’s just hard to be put on the spot, so this will have to do :) She grows every day and she is loved more than words could describe by Mommy, Daddy and Big Brother Dayton – I love their sibling bond – so special and pure!
Here is my Dora princess!

Here she is yesterday morning before the library – still not liking me to take pictures of her. An occasional “cheese” would be fabulous – Come on Miss Mallory, throw your mom a bone!!!
And, yes –she still has a paci – Dayton had his til he was two so Mallory is getting an equal opportunity. She is going to suck that thing dry over the next two months and I’m sure she won’t know what hit her when it’s gone, but we are going to embrace the next eight weeks with it before all hell breaks loose – ha!
