We've had a busy weekend, so I've had the camera out a lot. Here's what we've been up to:
Dayton eats a snack last Wednesday...

On Thursday we decided to do some arts and crafts. Dayton and Mommy made jack-o-lanterns for MeMe and DeDe. His new thing is coloring w/ markers - he loves markers. You can't fool him w/ crayons either. He wants the real deal. He did a great job on his masterpieces :) He's also added the word "color" to his vocabulary.

On Thursday evening, Dayton went to the St. Philip football game w/ Daddy, DeDe and MeMe (of course, Mommy was at work and missed out). Since I didn't get to take pics of him there, I caught a few before he left.

On Friday, we played outside quite a bit. The weather was nice and Janie was cleaning the house, so I wanted to make as little a mess inside as possible. Dayton found that the pumpkin outside made a great seat.

We decided to play w/ some bubbles. This resulted in an immediate daytime bath. He got crazy soapy and soap + dirt = not so good for Mommy...

Smearing the soap into the concrete. Fun!

Check out my underwear model! After his bath, I threw these underwear on him to see how he'd react. It didn't phase him one bit. I suppose he just thought it was a fancy diaper, I'm not sure. He kept them on for nearly an hour w/o an accident. Then, I chickened out and swapped 'em for a pull up. I knew I would have a huge puddle on my carpet/tile before long so I did some quick damage control!

Looks like a little angel, doesn't he? Too bad this was right after I caught him jumping on the bed in the guest room!

Here is Date's pumpkin he made at Grandpa and MeMe's last week. My dad had Bryn, Brock, Anna and Dayton decorate pumpkins. It was hilarious. I thought Date made a pretty good lookin' guy...

Here was our first real bowling outing w/ Dayton. He's been to the bowling alley but has never officially gotten the chance to bowl. We decided to go on Friday evening since there wasn't a EC football game this week. Here is him and Daddy on his first shot.

This is the result of his first try. Needless to say, he didn't get the spare...

Here he is wanting to use Daddy's 15 lb. ball - I don't think so Lil' Guy!

Mommy and Dayton "High 5" - Yeah! We got a spare - take that Daddy!

Dayton discovers the fan - check out the nice hair do!

Dayton trys the "through the legs" approach shot...

Running to get his ball again. We couldn't keep up w/ him!

After bowling, we went and hung out w/ Brock for a while. Here's a picture of the boys having some fun...

Saturday morning we woke up and decided to carve our Halloween - Longhorn pumpkin. Dayton looks like he's stabbing Brandon in the leg w/ the knife in this pic...

Dayton was very careful not to get any pumpkin mush on him. I should've taken his advice. After I was elbow deep in pumpkin, I realized that my skin was having a slight reaction to it. My arms broke out in a nice little rash - it was great - such my luck!!!

Our finished product - not too bad!

Okay, here we are at the big costume contest. Dayton was hating life at this point. He's very afraid of anything Halloween. He didn't care for the costumes or anything remotely scary. He did walk during the contest as opposed to making me hold him so I was happy about that. He was the cutest little golfer ever!

Here he is happy to be out of the contest and eating a cookie (of course).

Mommy looks a little more excited about our 3rd place finish than Dayton, but when he realized what was in the bag, he was equally ecstatic - CANDY!!!

Dayton won this hat at one of the carnival booths. It's now his favorite hat. Apparently he thinks this tractor is for him to ride. Santa - if you're out there - Dayton wants a ride on tractor for Christmas so he doesn't have to "ride" this one anymore!!!

Saturday evening Brandon and I went out for my birthday. We had a blast, but I am officially old. I just can't party like I used to, but I tried my best and had a GREAt time. Thanks to Jen, Vino, Clint and Meg (and Andrea) for ringing in "my new year" w/ me. Got in at 2:15 a.m. - I don't remember the last time I've done that. I should've taken an "after" pic to go besides this one - they would've looked a lot different!!!

Brandon had roses waiting on our table at Greek's for me. They were beautiful!

Yesterday was a fun day - I had a great birthday. I got to pick my b-day lunch so I chose 1/2 Whataburger cheeseburger (haven't had one in over 3 months). It was delicious. We went to the Presbyterian carnival in the afternoon, but chose not to enter Date in the contest. I didn't want to torture him anymore. He had a great time riding the choo-choo and trying out all of the moonwalks. He also enjoyed the sno cone, candy, cookies, cake and all other sugar filled items that he ate. Last night we had everyone over to Brandon's parents to celebrate my b-day. It was a nice evening - lots of food and even food that I could eat guilt-free! BBq chicken breast, ribs, sausage, vegetable skewers, salad, lima beans (my fav!), rice and about twenty desserts from the cake walk. I got a lot of nice things and even had enough money to buy a wii fit - Brandon and I went straight to Wal-Mart and picked one up on the way home and came home and tried it out for about 2 hours - so much fun! Wish I had some pics from yesterday but I managed to forget my camera at home. DeDe took lots, so if I get a cd of them, I'll post 'em up here. Sorry for all the pics, I just couldn't bare to leave any out. Enjoy this beautiful weather - jz...
