What a wonderful year it was...

I decided it'd be fun to take a picture from every month to kind of sum our year in review - what an eventful one it was! I had a hard time picking one picture from each month because so much has happened. It was fun to look over the last year in pictures - things happen so fast and we are so blessed. Enjoy and Happy New Year!!!

Look how small our little guy was back in January! He's grown so much. He was so into Thomas the Train back then and had just rec'd a great big Thomas trackmaster for Christmas. We also lost Grandma Vasut back in January - what a sad time. Not many days go by that we don't think about her. She would've loved Miss Mallory and something was definently missing this Christmas not having her around. I know she's watching down on all of us from up above...

In February we began our potty training (sort of). We took a break somewhere mid-year, but we are happy to say we have ourselves a potty trained little boy now! Brandon and I also celebrated 11 years of being a couple on Valentine's Day.

In March we celebrated little man's 2nd birthday - tractor-themed of course! He is such a little John Deere boy! We also found out we were expecting at the very end of March. Our lives were going to change again come November - wow!

April was moving month. We were settled into our new house by the end of April - it was such an exciting time for our growing family. We got to tell our families the news of our new little one on Easter weekend - how fun!

May led to good weather and good weather always leads to the bay. Dayton loves the bay and fishing. With May came the dance recital and then the beginning of our summer :)

In June we made a trip to the Houston Zoo in honor of Father's Day. We also took Dayton to the Downtown Aquarium for the first time. That was a great day!

In July, we found out we'd be blessed with a baby GIRL - wow! That was so exciting! Dayton got to go the doctor's appointment w/ us and it was such a wonderful experience to find out as a family - Mommy was going to be blessed with a little dancer - "Baby Zabodyn" now had a name - Mallory Marie was on the way!

In August, we took Dayton on the longest road trip we'd been on so far - Grapevine, TX. Then, the next weekend we took him to Galveston - he got to go the beach for the first time in his little life! We also took him to Schlitterbaun and Moody Gardens - fun times!

September led to another big "first" for Dayton - his first Longhorn football game. He was addicted from the start - once he laid eyes on that big beautiful stadium - there was no turning back. Our little fan can now clearly sing "The Eyes of Texas", "Texas Fight", and he can throw up the cutest little hook'em you've ever seen in half a second (with both hands I might add, pretty talented)

With October came Halloween and of course what else would Date be besides Colt McCoy? We love our little football guy!!!

November was a month to be extremely thankful. It brought us our newest miracle - Mallory Marie. While she wasn't due until December and I was scheduled for c-section on November 30th, Miss Mallory had other plans in store for Mommy and Daddy - she wanted to arrive early on November 24th. We came home from the hospital on Thanksgiving morning, in time to eat our first Thanksgiving meal as a family of four in the comfort of our own living room - wow, how great is that?

And, of course, December = Christmas. And, while the month is still a big blurr to me, a wonderful Christmas we did have. Ending the year on a wonderful note!

Again, I wish all of you a very Happy New Year. If 2010 is half as wonderful as 2009, we will be so blessed.

Brother and Sister!?!?!?!

Mallory reminds of us of Dayton every day - her mannerisms and facial expressions are just like Baby Date's were. I always tell Brandon either he is the father of both of them or neither one of them because they are definently brother and sister! (Are you kidding me? They are for sure his - they look just like us!) Here are some pics for comparison. I know I have more that I could do this w/ but this is all I had time for today!

Congrats to the Rice Family :)

Congratulations to Cassie and Scott! You two are going to make amazing parents and Mallory and Dayton are so happy to have another friend! I know our kids will be close buds like their mommies and daddies!!!

A Very Merry Christmas...

We had ourselves a very Merry Christmas. Here are some pictures from my time away from my computer. They aren't in order - sorry. I'm still getting used to my new pc and the photo software. It's so good to be back ;)

Dayton on Christmas Eve at Grandpa Vasut's

Dayton and Daddy on Christmas Eve:

My greatest gifts:

Mommy and Mallory:

The family

Christmas morning - Santa brought this to Mallory and left it in her stocking:

Dayton is very excited about his gifts!

Cookies and chocolate milk were left for Santa and he even left Dayton a note:

The Christmas tree - after Santa came and before Date woke up:

Opening his favorite gift at MeMe's house -this is what he wanted from Santa but MeMe and Grandpa delivered. After he opened this on Christmas Eve, he kept saying "Santa - I already have a Handy Manny tool bench!" so he had no clue what Santa would actually bring him!

On Christmas day we had lunch at Scott and Amy's. The kids enjoyed the beautiful weather outside!

Last Wednesday before we went to library time. Dressed in our Christmas gear:

Mallory was wide awake for the opening of the gifts on Christmas morning - too bad she couldn't participate!

Mallory on her playmat last week:

Dayton was loving Christmas morning - after Santa came, he had more gifts to open at DeDe and PaPa's house!

Our Santa Baby:

One of our outfits on Christmas Day:

Another outfit on Christmas Day - Mommy's getting adventerous w/ the bows - this is the biggest we've worn yet!

The reindeer outfit Mallory wore to the St. Philip Christmas play last week:

Another bow picture:

Eating at Greek's after the pageant - not a great picture, but it's hard to get one of all four of us!

This is Mallory this morning on her new playmat she got for Christmas - she's getting so big and so alert!

Another picture of my big girl - can't believe she's already a month old. Sniffle, sniffle...

Jenna, Billy and Will came to visit us over the weekend. It was so great to see them! Here's a pic of Jenna, Mallory, Me and Will - how fun!

Another Santa Baby pic:

On the 19th, my family loaded up in three vehicles and headed to Giddings to pick out and bring home the church Christmas tree for St. Philip's. It was such a wonderful experience. Here's some pics from our outing. We got to go on a small hayride:

The kiddos minus Mallory - she was too tiny to take!

Picking out the perfect tree:

Another cute outfit - too bad you can't see it too well. I always take pics of her in her carrier and you can't see her clothes when I do that. I need to find a new alternative!

Santa Baby, again...

The elves delivered Date's swingset on Monday because it was too big to fit in the sled. He absolutely loves it!

His first time to see it - he was so excited!

Don't you wish you could be this relaxed? Not a care in the world!

Last Sunday we had Christmas at the Rod Farm. It was fun - didn't get many pictures but here is one Bryn took of Mallory and Grandpa - too cute!

Here is all fourteen of us in front of the tree we picked out - so special!

Here is the tree once we got it decorated in church. It was around 14 ft tall and turned out beautiful. The kids all got to come up to the church (even Mallory) and hang an ornament on it when us adults had it finished.

Decorating the tree:

This is a great pic of Mallory - this is exactly what she looks like "in real life". Some pictures she doesn't look like herself, but I think this is a good one of our little angel.

Date and I try out the glider on the swingset. It holds up to 500 lbs. so don't worry, we're safe!

Brandon on the glider trying to "work" on his blackberry - pretty funny!

On Christmas Eve's eve, Dayton and Mallory wore their Longhorn Christmas pjs.

This is what Brandon wore to work on Christmas Eve morning. If anyone ever needs ugly Christmas sweater party attire, we've got it ;)

Here is Mallory in her little Candy Cane outfit last week - even a little smile :) On Wednesday, we went on our first real shopping trip w/ Mallory and Dayton. We ran into Victoria for a few last minute gifts w/ MeMe. On the way home, we stopped at PaPa's shop in Edna for open house. Date got to ride the big crane and was loving life. Mallory was a little angel and was so well behaved for our big trip!

Another candy cane pic - how sweet!

Here is Sandie, me and Amy in front of the church Christmas tree. I think it turned out beautifully. And, it was so special to sit in church on Christmas Eve and just stare at it. What wonderful memories were made from the whole experience!

A cute profile pic I caught of Mallory:

Here's a pic of them together in their Christmas Longhorn pjs...

Okay - now I'm caught up and hopefully can begin doing better again! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Brandon is off this week, so we are having fun hanging out as a family. Got the house cleaned today, the clothes are washed. I need to finish ordering dance costumes and I'll be good to go. Life is great!
