Well, it was another busy weekend. I survived ballroom on Friday night w/ a wonderful migraine headache. These glasses are having their way w/ my poor eyes. They aren't the right prescription so I am struggling to see. Hopefully, only two more days of this. I'm so tempted to pop those contacts back in my eyes!!!
On Saturday, some of Brandon's cousins were having a birthday party, so DeDe and PaPa were nice enough to take Dayton while we headed to Houston, yet again, for house stuff. We did have a successful trip - ended up getting our bedroom furniture and some other odds and ends. We headed back in the late afternoon, stopped by the house to pick up some clothes, and met up w/ Date, DeDe, PaPa and Grandpa Vasut down at the bay. We cooked hamburgers and hung out. The crew went fishing while Date and I stayed back and rested. Sunday morning we played a while, fished a little and headed back to EC. I can't wait till the weather gets a little warmer and a little less windy. We will enjoy going down there over the summer. Dayton loves it!
We're still working on potty training. Date has done well. I'm not as hard-core as some parents, but I think we're doing well. Date had underwear on all morning and we had no accidents. He went to the restroom in the potty three times w/ no accidents. I do put him in a diaper for nap time and he does wear a pull-up w/ underwear over them to go to MeMe and DeDe's in the afternoons, but we are still doing well.
Here are some pics:
Here is Dayton waiting to go to work on Friday morning. He was dressed just like PaPa - W&D shirt, jeans, and UT baseball cap...

Here's Dayton and PaPa flippin' burgers on the pit down at the bay on Saturday night.

Here's my big boy in his big boy underwear - too cute!

We went to play on the swingset down at the bay. Dayton's grown quite a bit since the last time he was down there in August or so. He really enjoyed it!

Daddy and Date climb a tree...

More smiles - he has a little fever blister that we are on the verge of getting rid of. This one was nothing compared to the one he had last year at this time - do y'all remember the horrible blisters he had all over his chin, lips, tongue - yuck!!!

Here's three generations of Zabodyns...

Dayton was attempting to skip rocks and doing his best to "accidently" step in the cold water...

That's all for now. Brick was delivered today and they might start on it tomorrow, so if that happens, I'll get out there w/ my camera - yeah!
Have a great week! JZ
