Well, we are still unpacking/catching up on sleep from Austin, but we had a blast. It turned into a nice little mini vacation. On Friday when we got there, Brandon was still playing golf so Date and I hit up the mall together. He was so well behaved and it only took a little bribery w/ ice cream and cookies ;) We headed to the hotel to meet Brandon and when he finally got there, we headed to 6th St to The Boiling Pot. On the way there, we ran into Hung (Top Chef winner like two seasons ago) Brandon shook his hand and said hi, it was kinda cool. After dinner we stopped at the famous cupcake airstream and got some yummy cupcakes. We managed to keep Date awake all the way back to the hotel so that he could share dessert w/ us. It was fun! Saturday morniing we woke up and got everything packed up. Then we headed to TC for some breakfast then to the outlet malls in San Marcos. We found some good buys here and there and did a lot of walking - hopefully walking off the cupcakes from the night before! We ate at Johnny Rockets before we left there and it was so good. I had a turkey burger (my new favorite thing lately) and it was super delicious! We stopped by a Home Depot to pick up some more tile (never have house stuff out of our heads) then headed to Cedar Park. We met up w/ Cassie and Scotty and went to Jared's for a small crawfish boil. We were really the life of the party bringing our kid and all, but it was fun. He lives on a creek so Dayton loved the view in the backyard. He could look down and see the fish, turtle, duck and more nature. We went to church then went to Chuy's w/ Cassie and Scotty. Again, great food. It was a great time. Sunday, we woke up and headed to Threadgill's - more food???!!!????!!! We met up w Scott, Amy, Bryn, Brock and my mom and dad. We had a wonderful gospel brunch then headed to the stadium. We were there in time to see Bevo and see the players arrive. We walked over to the coop for a little shopping then back to the stadium to watch the scrimmage. It was beautiful outside and Dayton absolutely loved him some Longhorn football. The poor kid is clearly already brainwashed. He was asleep before we made it back to the car. We stopped and ate (yet again) in Bastrop at Nancy's then it was back to home atlast. What a weekend - here are some pics!
Dayton fell asleep in the highchair for the first time last week - I know kids do it all the time, but this was his first time, so of course, I had to get a good pic!

Dayton eats a banana - I know, not very exciting, but pretty darn cute if you ask me!

Hey Cupcake!

Hyper from cupcake sugar!

We did some damage:

Saturday at the outlet mall:

Mommy and Date:

Cassie and Dayton at Chuy's:

AuStIn:

The kids would not get anywhere near Bevo - these are the best we could do, but great pics never the less!

Me, trying to be a photographer, again!

Bryn and Date:

Colt and Mack meet w/ some military personnel - they honored the military at the game. I was loving taking advantage of my fun zoom lens:

Ready to see some "Hook'em Horns" as Dayton would call it!

Mommy and Date at the game:

Grandpa and Date - my dad stills gets tears in his eyes every time he hears "The Eyes of Texas". It was great to see him share his love for the Longhorns w/ Dayton. I think he was pretty proud when he heard Date chanting "Go Horns Go!"

Dayton cheers on his favorite team:
