Our Two Year Old Texas Fan...

who can absolutely not wait until next weekend to go see them in person - I think he'll pee his pants. He is going to go crazy at the game. He asks me every day, "Mommy, do you have my Longhorn ticket?" Yes, Date - you are going to the game. He's been watching Baby Longhorn on his dvd player every day in anticipation of the big game. It's gonna be a baby milestone - hahaha...

This probably isn't his best go at singing these two songs, but w/ the distraction of being video taped and just being silly, they will have to do!

Plans for the weekend? Brandon has a fantasy football draft in Austin tomorrow so since he'll be tied up all day, guess me, Date, MeMe and DeDe are going to be forced to do a little shopping :)

The Next American Idol...

Not so much, but none the less, a pretty cute rendition of the ABC's. All you Longhorn fans, stay tuned. I've got two more videos to upload tomorrow when I have more time that you're sure to love!

100 days to go!

I just happened to notice that my little baby ticker says I have 100 days to go! Though that may seem like a long time to you guys, I feel like it's just around the corner. These first 5-6 months have flown by. With dancing starting up and football season beginning next weekend (CAN'T WAIT), the next few months are sure to go by even faster. We've got a full schedule ahead of us w/ Halloween, Thanksgiving, lots of family birthdays, football, etc. It's gonna be a great Fall - I just know it. Oh, and bring on the cool weather- that would be nice, right? A pregnant girl can dream, can't she...

Glucose Testing/Appointment

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on my glucose testing and appointment this morning. I had to be there at 8:00 to drink the orange stuff. I had my blood drawn at 9:10 and waited until almost 10:00 to see Dr. Sangalli. Everything went fine. They have the best blood drawing nurses at South Tx Medical Clinic in Wharton. It barely feels like anything - I recommend getting blood taken at that location. I love those ladies!!! The orange stuff wasn't that tasty and I got it all down okay, but right after I drank it, I felt quite nauseous. My blood pressure was 110/60, weight gain was okay and Mallory's heartbeat was strong. I'll be going back in three short weeks and then my next appt after that, we'll get to have another sonogram already. Nurse Traci - I asked him about getting a flu shot and he recommended I get the regular one and the swine flu one. They haven't gotten in their supply yet, but I may be able to get them at my next appt, if not that one, the next one. Aren't you proud of me? I took care of it!

Mallory's hiccups have developed into ones similar to her brother's. She gets them about two or three times a day. It's so cute. Dayton is doing well - using the potty like a champ and becoming such a big boy. He communicates wonderfully and he loves nothing more than to play football or baseball or golf w/ his daddy. He is too much fun these days; definently keeps me on my toes! We're trying to get back on a very scheduled day w/ naptime always starting by 12:30 and so far this week, he has done great. This is important so Mommy has time to get everything ready for dancing and this means he's up and at 'em before it's time to go to DeDe's or MeMe's house.

That's all I've got. Have a good one...

A Few Videos for you...

It's been a while since I've uploaded from my new Flip Video, and I really need to use it more often. Here are a few videos you might enjoy! These were taken one evening while we were playing golf in the front yard.

Dancing went wonderfully last night - I had 15 three year olds and no criers! It was amazing. They are too cute. I also had a 2nd grade class and a 3rd/4th grade class and all is well so far. The girls were wonderful. Tonight I've got more young ones so it might be a little more challenging - 4 yr. olds, kindergarten and then 1st grade - yikes! Three hours goes by really fast, the only complaint I have is that I need new jazz and tap shoes. When I was pregnant w/ Dayton my feet grew about a half a size - heels would really hurt when I wore them. They did return back to my normal size after I had Date. The same thing has apparently happened again, but I've been wearing flip flops all summer so I didn't even realize. My dance shoes were killing my feet last night. I'm going to invest in a new pair of each asap! I'm ready for another pedi!

Tomorrow morning I have my dreaded glucose testing. I've got to be at the clinic in Wharton at 8:00 to drink the nasty, sugary orange stuff. Then I have to wait an hour, give blood and have a regular appt. w/ Dr. Sangalli. I'll keep you posted!

Last minute trip...

Well, we woke up Saturday morning w/ no intentions of having a busy weekend - just do some yard work and get ready for dance. Brandon's parents had plans to go to Coushatta for quite some time now. I rolled over to Brandon and Dayton and said "Anyone ready to go to Coushatta?" Of course, Brandon was game right away and Dayton is such a little road tripper these days that he was in, too. We called MeMe and Grandpa and they said they were game, so an hour and a half later, we were packed, dressed and on the way to Louisiana! It was very last minute - we had to go to the ATM machine on the way out of town just to get some cash. This marked Dayton's first trip out of the state of TX - a 4 1/2 hour long car ride and we were there. He was such a great sport in the car. You may wonder what a 2 1/2 year old is going to do at a casino, but we had plans. Between me and Brandon and all four grandparents, we were good to go. When we checked into the hotel, we changed clothes and took Date swimming in the indoor pool. Then we went upstairs, changed clothes and went down to the arcade. PaPa had gotten Dayton $100 worth of free game play in the arcade. I don't know who had more fun - Date or Mommy and Daddy. We played and played and played. Then we all went and ate in the Big Sky steakhouse, Dayton included. It was very yummy. After dinner, Mommy and Daddy took Date back to the arcade for more fun (I'm sure you're wondering at this point why we drove all this way to play in an arcade when we could've just gone to Mr. Gatti's, but Date loved it!) Once we wore his little butt out, Daddy "went to work at the black jack tables" and my parents took over in the baby sitting dept. We took him upstairs, gave him a bath and put him down w/ some dvds, books and coloring activities. He was set to go w/ MeMe and Grandpa so I finally got to do a little bit of gambling starting around 9:00 that evening. I stayed down in the casino until almost 11:30 which is way past my bedtime, but I went to sleep a happy girl b/c I was winning a little money. Brandon came up at 2:30 a.m. and he was a happy guy b/c he was winning, too. We were up at 7:15 a.m. getting ready for church. We went to church at 8, then my dad and Brandon went and played a little golf while me, MeMe, and DeDe checked out the gift shop (more free stuff from PaPa, including a remote controlled John Deere tractor!), and played in the arcade once again. We won 5 stuffed animals, a pair of binoculars, a slinky, some maracas, a zebra fan and some candy - jackpot for Dayton. He loved it all. MeMe and Dayton went upstairs to pack up and play w/ the new loot and Mommy got to do a little more gambling. We went and picked up Daddy and Grandpa at the golf course, ate at Fausto's and headed home - stopping in Sugar Land at Carter's to pick up some last minute tax free deals w/ our winnings and headed home. We were settled in and unpacked by 7:30 last night. It was a fast trip and very spontaneous, but so much fun. I'm glad we went. I feel relaxed and ready for my first week of dancing. We'll see how my first day goes today - hope all you teachers out there have a wonderful first week of school!!!! jz

Happy Birthday, Jenna!!!

From one pregnant Jenna to another - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you have a great day - enjoy some peace and quiet before your life is forever changed. :) Your birthday will never be the same :) (in a good way!) Hope you and Billy have a wonderful evening and cheers to the year ahead - it's sure to be a wonderful one!!! Love ya, girl!!!

I'm Not Really a Waitress...

Don't get too excited - it's just the name of my new favorite toe nail polish. I got it a couple of weeks ago in Sugarland and was sure I would never find it again. This morning Dayton went over to Austin's house to play, so I got to treat myself to a pedicure - it's been a really long time since I've gotten a pedicure alone. It was so relaxing and even Mallory was decently behaved during the process. She sat fairly still until the very end and then she got restless and began hopping on my bladder. Regardless, I am a very happy mommy right now. Brandon calls it my "hot mamma pollish" b/c I'm not usually a red polish person. I usually opt for pink, so he thinks I'm trying to compensate for being more sexy since I'm big and preggers now. Whatever the reason, I like it and I advise all of you to go out and get you some "I'm really not a waitress" on your toes!!!

Mallory's Hiccups...

Just wanted to write a little post b/c I think baby hiccups are one of the most adorable things in the world. Mallory got the hiccups yesterday morning while I was still in bed for the first time. It was too cute - all of the little rhythmic bumps on my tummy. Just a few minutes ago, she had them again. It is just the cutest little thing! Dayton had hiccups about 3 times a day b/w December and March when he was born, so I'm wondering if Mally will follow in her brother's footsteps. This is a good sign b/c it means she's learning to breathe - how exciting :) As of right now I'm 25 wks and 2 days - hard to believe. The next three months will fly by! Have a great week!

Can you guess what we'll be for Halloween???

Well, August is usually my month to search for Halloween costumes - early, I know, but if you don't get them ordered, they go on backorder fast. We debated long and hard on what he'd be, but in the end, Mommy and Daddy gave in to what Date wanted and decided he's old enough to decide for himself. So we may not have anymore costume contest wins in our future, but atleast we'll have a very happy little boy on Halloween night. Hopefully this outfit will last that long - he wants to wear it 24/7. Mommy's still got a few finishing touches to add to the costume, but I couldn't resist posting some pics of our future UT quarterback - enjoy :)

Here's what happened when he refused to take it off on the way home from MeMe's. He conked out in the car and when I got home, I had quite a time unloading him out of the car, taking off the helmet, uniform and shoulder pads while trying to keep him sleeping - what a work out! :)

A Trip to the Museum...

Here's a small slideshow of our trip to the museum on Friday. Dayton didn't mind looking at the animals from a distance, but wasn't too excited about taking pictures in front of them, so not many pictures of him ;) It was Bryn and Brock's last day off before they start school on Monday so we went to the museum, out to eat at Pizza Hut, and then went swimming at the Zabodyns. It was a fun day for the kiddos!

On the Road Again...

This afternoon we will soon be on the road again - headed back to El Campo, TX. We've had a wonderful, short stay in Grapevine. Everyone always talks about "Babymoons" when they're pregnant, and while it has been nothing like that, it has been a great bonding experience for me and Dayton. Even though we are together everyday, this has been a break from our everyday schedule to get out, explore and enjoy each other's company. Yesterday we had the entire day to ourselves and we made the most of it. I can't wait to get back and get some pictures posted - we went to S. Main and looked around at the little shops, I got some great pictures of him on the vintage trains and we went to the outlet mall where we did a lot of stuff and built a bear for him and Mallory, and ate at the Rainforest Cafe for the first time and walked a lot. I wore his little self out. Last night, we went w/ Daddy out to eat at California Pizza Company and then went exploring at Bass Pro Shop. Although nothing we did was extremely exciting, it was so much fun to see the excitement in Dayton's eyes w/ everything we did. I realized it's important for me to spend as much time as possible over the next few months before his little sister arrives. It was a great trip - now, we'll see if he can behave as well on the way home as he did on the way here.

Side note - we're starting to have a potty training champ! It's taken us a while but he is doing awesome now. But, let me tell you, it's a work out for Mommy b/c when he says he has to go, I have about 2 minutes to find the nearest potty before it's too late! He wanted to pee on the plants at the gazebo on Main St. yesterday but we made it to the public restroom before that happened - I was sprinting w/ him and the stroller, sweating my butt off - what a sight. Then when we ate at the Rainforest Cafe, I think the animals literally scared the pee-pee out of him b/c when he told me he had to go, we hurried to the restroom and before I could pull his pants down, he was going - he tried, bless his heart! I'm so proud of him - he's doing awesome!

In Grapevine...

Hey guys - we made it to Grapevine. It was a great trip and Dayton couldn't have behaved any better. So far, so good. We're waiting around the hotel for the local shops and mall to open so we can go exploring while Daddy's at work. Last night, we went and ate at a wonderful local seafood joint and then enjoyed Lunar Mini Golf, ice cream cones and a carousel ride. I'll have pictures soon. I forgot my usb cord so that I could share from here. I'll let you know how today goes. Dayton doesn't like being cooped up in the hotel room - he's like his Mommy - he's ready to be on the go!!!!!!!!
